Fall Bag Series: Market Tote

Just finished Sewing 101 and wondering what to make next? This class is the perfect follow-up!
Join us for our Market Tote class and create a stylish, practical bag you'll use again and again. Designed by our in-house pattern company, Studio M Squared, this fully lined market tote features a coordinating accent fabric, sturdy cotton webbing handles, and fusible interfacing for added structure and durability.
Along the way, you'll reinforce the skills learned in Sewing 101 while building confidence with new techniques that will continue to grow your sewing knowledge. Best of all, you'll leave with a beautiful handmade tote that's perfect for shopping, library trips, sewing supplies, and more!
Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine independently.
Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Tote-ally Easy by Studio M Squared
- (1) Spool of coordinating thread
- 1/3 yard exterior/main fabric
- 1/4 yard accent fabric
- 1/2 yard lining fabric
- 1¾ yards Pellon SF101 fusible interfacing
Recommended Fabrics:
- We recommend using quilting cotton or canvas for the exterior and quilting cotton for the lining.
Required Tools:
- fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
- seam ripper
- pins and/or wonder clips
- chalk and/or frixion marker

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your class, please let us know by email at least 72 hours in advance. If we’re able to fill your spot from our waitlist, we’ll issue you a full refund.
If we’re not able to fill your spot, or if you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, we’ll issue you a credit that can be used toward a future class.
