Bag Series: Birdie Sling

Back by popular demand! Join us for this 3-week series and sew the fabulous Birdie Sling by Amy Butler. This modern, roomy bag is perfect for advanced beginners and intermediate sewists—and it’s a great way to show off those bold, beautiful prints you’ve been saving!

*Please note The first class on Sat, June 14th will be a cutting session to prepare all our pieces and interfacing. So those of you who have already cut their pieces out will not have to attend. The other two classes are Thursday afternoons from 1-4pm.

This bag is super versatile and perfect for everyday use! It’s roomy enough for a beach or pool day—just toss in your towel, favorite book, and water bottle. Or take it along on your errands, whether you're heading to the farmers market or grabbing groceries.

This class is best suited for advanced beginners to intermediate sewists. Some prior bag-making experience is recommended—ideally, you’ve completed at least one bag project before. You should also feel comfortable threading and using a sewing machine on your own.

New to sewing or want to get familiar with our classroom Janome machines? Check out our one-time Adult Beginner Workshop! You’ll learn how to thread and sew on our machines and make a simple drawstring bag. (Totally optional, but a great confidence booster if you’re just getting started!)
