Learn to make professional-looking mitered corners for the runner’s border - you’ll be as impressed with the results as your guests! All you need is two coordinating prints or solids, some sew-in interfacing and thread, and you’re on your way to having a well-dressed table for dinner tonight.
Difficulty: For advanced beginner
Recommended Fabrics: Use woven, NON-DIRECTIONAL fabrics such as quilting cotton, lightweight canvas, or linen blends.
Material Requirements:
- (1) Pattern: "Table Talk Runner & Placemats" by Studio M Squared
• Main Fabric: 1-5/8 yards (for center of table runner and one side of placemats)
• Accent Fabric: 1-5/8 yards (for border/back of runner and second side of placemats)
• Sew-In Interfacing: 2-7/8 yards; we recommend Pellon SF101
Tools Needed:
• Rotary cutter, cutting mat & ruler
• Pins
• Point turning tool
• Frixion pen or Tailor’s chalk
• Seam gauge or Clover Hot Press Ruler
