Quilting Series 101: Learn-To-Quilt
In this 6-week course, students will learn the timeless art of quilting. Students will make a quilt measuring approximately 48" x 48" using half-square triangles, a basic beginner-friendly sewing block. (This quilt size is perfect for baby gifts!) We'll systematically work through the proper techniques of the quilting process, from cutting to piecing to assembling, basting, quilting, and binding a quilt. Students will not only receive instruction on these steps but will have sufficient time during class to work on and master these skills under the guidance of the instructor.

Adult Sewing 101: Learn-to-Sew: Drawstring Bag!
In this 2.5-hour workshop you will learn all the basics of the timeless craft of sewing on our machines. First, you will learn the machine itself and how it works, including how to wind a bobbin and thread the machine. After you've prepared your machine correctly, you will test your sewing skills on small samples of fabric to familiarize yourself with the foot pedal and the different speeds of the machine. Additional skills learned in class include practicing seam allowance, backstitching, and how to rip seams if needed. Finally, you will put your new skills to use and make a lined drawstring bag!
